Can anyone offer me advise about a mobile phone contract!?

My partner is a bully to me and conned a sony erricson k800i out of me in June for his birthday. I was under the impression I was buying him the phone on payg. However, when we went to the 02 shop, the assistant was blinding him with cheaper calls etc on contract. I clearly didnt want to get the phone on contract. He started getting annoyed in the shop at me and I ended up signing a contract for 18mnths in my name, as he is not credit worthy. He is using the phone more often then he did when he was on payg with his last phone. I am getting bills through for £50 each month, I only agreed to pay £25. I have told him I will cancel the phone if he carries this on. Might I add that he lives in the same house as me, has been out of work for 4 years, doesnt pay a bill, food or anything. I am trying to get out of this miserable relationship but feel trapped. Can anyone tell me of a way I might resolve the phone issue please. He kept his old number for this phone also.

Contact O2, see if they have a method of limiting the bill each month to a limit you are happy with. If he goes over his monthly spending limit he has to wait, or get off his lazy ass and get a job so he can treat you and your daughter in a way you deserve to be treated – something which he blatantly isn’t doing now.

The other option would be to get him put on a closed user group – this means he can only dial certain people from his phone.
